Lego sets that come with assorted Droids form the Star Wars "Clone Wars" series are extremely popular among both Lego fans and Star Wars/Clone Wars fans. Lego has responded by making several kits so that all these fans can build till their hearts are content. These are a little different from the standard primary colored Lego blocks in the "classic" Lego kits. For one thing, these are a little more grown up: bricks are translucent, gray, brown, and other more mature colors. As a bonus, there are a number of articulating pieces in each kit that make it easier to prepare for an epic Lego Star Wars Clone Wars battle.
One of the collections, the Assassin Droids Battle Pack has five mini figures and comes complete with a ship that shoots "flick fire" missiles and has space for two of the mini figures. This set is one of the smaller, more affordable Lego Droids collections.
Moving into the $40 range, the Ahsoka's Starfighter and Droids set includes the following mini figures: Ahsoka Tano (the R7-A7 Droid), a Vulture Droid, and two Buzz Droids. This kit comes with two ships, so Lego fiends can set up a battle as soon as the contents of the kit are put together.
Perhaps the most interesting Droid set is the Droid Gunship. It includes the Droid Pilot and two Battle Droid mini figures. The gear mounted on top of the ship pivots for bombing enemies on land, and there is a cockpit that opens up so you can put Droids right at the controls.
The Separatist Spider Droid Lego kit has an intricate movable laser cannon. It comes with the Battle Droid Commander, Super Battle Droid, Battle Droid, Clone Trooper, and Commander Fox mini figures and has four articulating legs. Assembled, it is about six inches tall by 10 inches wide and retails for about $30.
Any of these Lego Droid packs would be welcomed by any Star Wars/Clone Wars fanatic or Lego maniac. And since they come in a variety of price ranges, you can spend as little or as much as you want.
